What is SSL?
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a technology that encrypts all information
you provide before sending it to a payment server. When the information
is safely on our payment provider's server your information is decrypted.
What kind of guarantees do I have with my credit card?
Most financial institutions or credit card providers either cover
all charges resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card or
limit your liability to $50 (Canadian). In the event of unauthorized
use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider
in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures immediately.
The Canadian Bankers Association has written: "Internet commerce
is no more prone to fraud than other types of payment mechanisms."
What do we use your personal information for?
To send your order we must collect a limited amount of personal
information. By law, and in order to protect your security we must
verify that someone is not fraudulently using your credit card.
We may also use personal information and data collected to generate
sales statistics and reports for internal use. These statistics
and aggregate reports will not contain any personally identifiable
information. Your identity is kept anonymous.
What is a "cookie" and does RelayRentals.ca use them?
A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your computer.
The cookie contains a unique personal identification code and RelayRentals.ca
uses "per-session" cookies to speed up your shopping experience
by keeping small amounts of information on your computer.
Do you sell any of the personal information you collect to other
companies?
No, at the present time we do not. All information is kept in confidence
by RelayRentals.ca. Your privacy is important to us.
